I'm sort of floating around at the moment. I was going to get back into writing drabbles, after I finished my UC fic, but I don't feel any need to write. I just want to read my books in my TBR pile instead!

I did get some work done on my felt doll which I hadn't touched since July, which was good.

Art. Mostly doing gesture drawings, but it is practice for a piece for a bingo (as I have forgotten how to draw humans(!) and it's quite fun.

After too many months of heatwave nonfunctionality (following after surgery in the household) leaving me basically useless, over the last week I cleared out five prompt tables of drabbles -- for a whole new FFIV AU -- and got an exchange assignment squared away. *victory dance*

And so I have told myself point blank that -- despite AO3's tag wrangling shite planting most of my selfpubbed works under "Original Work" (the work of one jackass with a grudge, the grapevine tells me), and doubly despite apparently some poor sod popping up on FFA liking some of my stuff and then being chased off by other anons hellbent on dragging my writing through the mud -- I'm going to get Equinox wrapped up and out if it kills me.

Because I have never claimed to be a ~professional author~, I'm an amateur who selfpubs for fun and to the best of my ability -- and if there was one thing guaranteed to annoy the fuck out of me, it's attacking some poor random person on the internet under an avalanche of WHAT YOU LIKE IS SHIT just to try to keep jerking it to some insane hateboner grudge with me.

If they wanted to just shit on me, whatever. (even if I still fail to see how comparing me to Andre Norton -- apparently? -- is supposed to be an insult.) Attacking other people for daring to like my shit just so they can, I don't know, somehow use quality as a reason for AO3's bullshit? Yeah fuck that.

And what other reason could there have been to be as dogged across multiple posts as I've heard? I'm literally fucking no one, so who cares except for the nutjob with a grudge and their hangers-on?

I'm excited to get to work on my Trick or Treat assignment, since I matched on a fandom I really love.

Aside from that, I really want to write something for myself - I have a couple WIP on the go, but I don't feel motivated to work on them, and every fic idea I come up with spins into a massive thing. I just want to write something fairly short for once!

Finally finished the non-fandom-related (but still hobby-related) article draft I've been working on, did a little podfic for an Oct 1 deadline, finished up the script and drafted the dialogue for the other small podfic (really a radio play) that's also due Oct 1. After that, I've got a largeish podfic to do as a Big Bang complement, and then...I can get back to writing projects, starting with the outline for a (possible) for-money project. And, er, it's the season of signing up for holiday exchanges...
