Chapter 12 (of 18) of the Kael'thas novel posted, bringing the word count to 73K on Ao3.

With 6 chapters to go and 18 weeks left in the year, I've certainly got to step up the pace (and break the "two months per chapter" curse) if I want to finish by the end of the year.

A hair away from finishing dealing with Reunification; a few names are still being a pain in the arse (and the weather has made sure I don't have the neurons to debate over them). Once I have those nailed down I can clean up/substitute in the chapters and then ... it's formatting time. *tiny flag*

Also (finally!) wrote the first of who-knows-how-many ficlets involving Prowl and Princess Peach, just because ;3 Although I think I'm not going to make a run of this month's Challenge Week, because again: murderous weather x_x

I've written nothing in months, and I don't know when I'll write again.

I have breast cancer surgery on Friday. I will definitely need radiation therapy and may or may not need chemo (I should know by the middle of next week).

Right now, I'm too stressed to write. With the radiation, I don't know; I might be too tired to write. With chemo, I'm almost certain to be too sick to write.

I want to write. I very much want to write.

That's such a hard place to be in, and I'm so sorry to hear it. I realize I am an internet stranger, but I will think good thoughts for you, both for the surgery and for the recovery, if you would not mind this thing.

I edited three chapters of the novel tonight, hitting my monthly goal of clearing out four of them (plus two, I already had three in the bag) and putting me roughly 1/3 of the way through the whole thing. HURRAH.

OMG I have been writing! And posting fic! I felt like it was going to be impossible for a long time, because I just couldn't word. And then I sat down and really looked at what I want to or what could potentially happen in that last unwritten part of the story, and as soon as I had that brain movie going, I found words! \o/

So I really have to face that when I can't "see" where the story is going, or how the scene plays out, I find it immensely hard to write it. I'll have to remember this.

Another fic back from beta just now, so I'll be editing and posting that. And then onto writing the last fic I need for a seasonofkink bingo line! :D

I'm totally swamped with work :( I have final exams next week, and I'm waiting on other people to make important decisions right now and it's really stressing me out. I'm actually about to go do some writing (for the first time in at least a week, maybe two weeks) to take my mind off of things.

But I did just finish reading The Peace War by Vernor Vinge, and I really enjoyed it and am feeling inspired to do some brainstorming for one of my longer stories!
