How's everyone doing with their writing this week, now that we've passed the half-way point? Have you been working on your WIPs? Made any progress? Run into any trouble? Let's talk about it!
(not sure if I'm supposed to post this, but since nothing was posted yesterday I thought I'd go ahead!)

Re: as for me...
Date: 2015-02-05 09:39 pm (UTC)It's from this website, and it's basically a challenge to write at least 750 words of whatever you want every day. It's an ongoing challenge, but there are also monthly challenges. I signed up for the February 2015 one since I don't think I can keep up 750 words a day year-round. Still, 750 words a day for a month equals 21,000 words, which means I should have finished the rough draft of at least a story or two by the end.
...Oh, I just realized it's now become a member subscription site. I didn't even notice because I joined so long ago and they gave free lifetime memberships to all existing members before they converted the website to a paying service ($5/mo). Oops! For those who are interested in the site anyway, it offers a pretty blank writing service and keeps track of the writing day by day, automatically analyzes what you write for common words and also puts your text through some sort of algorithm that tells you what the mood/emotional content of the entry for the day is. It also keeps track of how much time it took you to write 750 words in terms of minutes, pauses in-between, and words per minute. It's pretty neat, actually. For example, based on my entry for yesterday, the site told me the following info:
Psychological processes: motion, relativity
Linguistic processes: common verbs
Sense of time: the past
Thinking versus feeling: feeling
Outlook: negative
Emotional: sadness.
(Sorry, I went on too much!!)

Re: as for me...
