Still working on the 800-pound WIP.

Realized that part of my motivation problem (the problem? I had none) came from my eagerness to get through the current chapters and into the plot twists and spins I've planned for the end.

Now that I've realized that I've been able to kick back and enjoy going back and properly filling in the scenes I'd skimped or skipped over in the last chapter I posted.

Haven't checked in in ages but have finally managed to get some decent writing done (decent in terms of an actual countable amount of words - worth counting! - I'm not going to comment on quality).

Life has been . . . better not talked about over the last couple of months and I'm not really out of the woods on that score yet. Today I'm feeling positive because I've managed to write 6734 words last week - the first time I've managed to meet or exceed my weekly goal since early March. My yearly goal may be out of reach (I'm over 45,000 words behind at the moment) but for now I'm just going to focus on writing as much as I can as often as I can and trying to stay positive about it.

I had a pretty good week - 4400 words. This week is going more slowly but I'm persevering. I'm hoping to get one of my big fics finished by 15 July, which is my AO3 5th anniversary ... fingers crossed!

Fic and extra fic for FF exchange were successful (yaaay) --

Zerg rushed manuscript parts and got them welded into something that resembled a finished format, yay! Worked up a cover, wrote the blurb (stupid blurrrrrb *fistshake*), sent in all the files, ordered a proof ...

... which is of course jumping the arrival gun majorly to try and get delivered today, when I have 23456754 errands to do before the evening shift that will have me gone the rest of the day *facepalms*

Hey, at least you managed the blurb. I triiiiiied and ultimately went 'fuckit, everything I write sounds sooooo pretentious'. ^^;;

Still slogging through the huge erotica manuscript. I've gotten 67 pages done out of 357. And out of those 67 pages, I've cut 2,000 words. (I've edited book-length manuscripts where I didn't cut 2,000 words!) The 67 pages remaining contain about 18K. So, out of what I've done, I've cut 10%. And there's so much left. *sobs*

Deadlines for writing are coming up, including one for Genprompt_bingo in two days. I need to get writing.

I'm sorry. This hasn't been a good week.
