Hi! Welcome to onedeadplotbunny! There's a sort of basic FAQ on the profile page, but if you have more specific questions, feel free to ask them here.

If you're joining at a time that's not the first week of February, that's okay! You can join at any time, post at any time, etc. Go through the archives at your own pace and don't feel stressed. There is no 'catching up' to do.

This is a motivation/support community first and foremost. I don't want anyone to ever feel bad about their backlog/signups/whatnot. I don't want anyone to feel that they have to clear out their backlog instantly, or anything like that. I don't want anyone feeling stressed, even though there might be a few tasks right away that can be stressful (or fun, depending on mindset - I like the fun).

But you can do it! You really can.

Feel free to make an introduction post. Feel free not to. Feel free to ask for help unsticking a plot. Feel free to post resources. Feel free to post success! Feel free to commiserate (because sometimes you just need to wonder out loud why you sighed up for the XYZ Exchange again even though you pull your hair out every time you do)... This is everyone's space.

Great to have this comm again - it was such a help last year at just making me persist at finishing 'stuff'. Unfortunately, while I did get lots finished, there's still lots hanging over me and I've done the usual new year thing of going 'OOhhh, shiny' to all the challenges that are being posted.

My priorities at the moment are to finish the Mission Impossible/Avengers crossover that is monstrously huge and unfinished,(I've also signed up to WIPbigbang on LJ to try and urge myself on to finishing that one), then I've got 3 different Avengers table which only need to stories in the region of 500-1000 words to complete (although they rarely end up that small). I've also signed up for the cottoncandy_bingo and I'm having tentative thoughts that one of the stories that I couldn't finish last year and I kept knocking it off the list and deciding to abandon it and then putting it back on again, might actually lend itself to this. My current slightly tentative thought is that perhaps it isn't meant to be A story, but that it might more successfully make a series of short snapshots of 'life after' the main arc of the story. Part of my problem was that it never had a definite direction or ending and perhaps this would enable me to use a bunch of the ideas I'd got for it, string them together in a loose arc, without that need for it to be a complete story. It still leaves me with the issue of the third part of the story which hasn't been finished but . . . Works in progress right? That includes the thinking out stage as well as the actual writing bit?

Work-in-progress definitely involves the planning, yes. Also, a loose arc sounds like it might be just the thing. \o/

I second that: having a low-pressure place to post progress last year was just enough carrot to keep me trundling along.

I'm still holding new fandoms and bingo cards at bay while I work to wrap up my last Large Dusty WIP (Warcraft fandom). ~ I then expect to start watching Lost Canvas (and finish watching the rest of the Hades OVAs) with a friend, to catch up on Saga, and to re-read Demon Knights with an eye to bingo cards and NYR 2014 fills.

I really liked the check-ins, too, even if I didn't have anything exciting to check in with. Just 'hey this is what I'm doing' kept me going.

Yeah, I'd seen bits of Hades via YT, and of course I watch ep 12 and 13 of the first Hades OVA any time I need to sob for 20 minutes :p

Those OVAs also slipped in bonus extra Milo/Camus which wasn't in the manga.

Too bad they hurt so damned much...

I'm not ashamed to admit that despite the goofy way Shion is drawn in Hades, I still tend to focus on Shion/Dohko to the exclusion of almost everything else. :p

Aw, I think Shion's rather good looking in Hades. Maybe a touch twee, but there's a bit of an art shift for everyone.

The last thing I need right now is an StS bender, but it's oh-so-tempting.

Well, currently this friend and I are working our way through the Jeremy Brett Holmes, so it'll be at least a month before I get to StS.

I'm still sort of... pleasantly surprised by Dohko in LC. He very rarely wears his entire cloth. ^_^

YES! taichara and I have had cautiously optimistic giggles about if for a few days now. I should really check back and see if they've revealed more of the Golds.

A quick question! (I think this is the right post for this...) Apart from our intro posts, is it cool to make posts to the comm for suggestions/assistance with various writing tools? (e.g., if one is hunting down a particular type of writing tool and wants to know what the comm recommends, is that OK?)
