I'm in the middle of writing a sex scene that I'm not absolutely sure belongs where it is. I'm simply not sure the reasons for it make sense. I'll see what my first reader says when I run it past them.

Put it in and come back to it later - you and your first reader can decide later if it stays. (Editing is a thing that comes later and you should always remember that. I need to remember it too.)
