(I know this should be a 'conversation topic/prompt/whatnot week', but it's not going to be. I am having one of those weeks and it's just not happening.)

It's like the universe has designed this week specifically to keep me from getting anything done - extra shifts (which are good, but tiring), truck repairs, the stupidest Monday in ages, girlie stuff, Easter dinner, a winter that won't end (I'm cold), movie plans, phone being stupid and useless...

Gods, I feel you on being fed up by winter! It makes it so hard to get in the creative mood. We're still having snow here, but at least it's melting now, and some nights are even above freezing! Spring *is* coming!

I had snow on my truck yesterday morning, though it's pretty much gone from the ground. But we're not really getting above freezing yet.

All I want is a few nice days to have the windows open and whatnot.

Urgh, that sucks! We've had enough of winter now!

Seriously, I'm greedy enough to want summer. Now! :D (But not the allergies that comes with it.)

Well... I'm in Florida. 75 degrees, and birds singing outside my window. *ducks*

(If it's any consolation, we're supposed to have three days of stormy weather, possibly severe. Can't do writing on a desktop computer in lightning storms. *shudder*)

And on cue, I glanced outside and it's snowing again. *sighs*

I want it to be warm, but not too hot. Warm enough to sleep with the windows open = perfect.

I've been remarkably productive... Writing at least one little thing, and it wasn't even for someone else's prompt! It was just for me! Felt good, but now I can't seem to finish any of the many half-done fics in my folder. :( Damn.

You could always play WiP folder roulette and just go through and add a sentence onto each fic until one grabs you and you're inspired to keep going?

Oh, good idea! :) Even one sentence is words added, and in the end, I might end up adding a few more:

I do that sometimes - I add a sentence or paragraph or whatever and then move on if I'm not inspired. The worst that can happen is that when I go back, I realize it's a bad sentence and delete it/re-write it. At least it puts the story back in my subconscious to be worked on.

You know what? I've just written 1290 words in the doc I opened, and ooops, I accidentally finished the fic! LOL

*flails* Why do I keep writing short "DNAngel" ficlets instead of working on my WIPs? There's two of them now. *folds arms and glares* I refuse to count those in the 20k-word goal I've set for myself this month--only what I add to my WIPs.

On the plus side, I did make some corrections on a scene in one fic that was holding me up, and I'm working on my biggest WIP right now.

It sounds like you know what to work on and you're having fun here and there, too. Nothing wrong with that. ^_^

Over the last couple of days I've opened up two files and made progress on both stories! That is a massive improvement on my total lack of progress for the last few weeks. I'm feeling more motivated to work on the much longer, more complex story which hasn't a hope of being finished in the near future, but the shorter one is giving me new ideas too, so that's good.

I 'm (barely) on progress in my campnanowrimo. It's my only achievement this week.

Just keep working at it! I'm finally starting mine tonight. This last week has been soooo busy.
