I have the stories I wrote ten years ago while still get piles of hits and reviews and the stuff I'm writing now... generally seems to get a tenth of the attention if not less. I want to jump up and down and scream 'new shinies over here, you can quit looking at the old stuff!' or something.
Stats are really fun, but yeah... they can be kinda depressing, too. I'd just assume write what I want, figure any comments are a gift, and have fun.
