Welcome to the second week of April, ODPBers! I hope your writing week has been better than mine. When I haven't been mentally busy with work, I have managed all of 800 words on a novel I am determined to finish this year. But at least it's better than no progress. I also have another story I'm pondering, but it requires a bit of finagling to make it work the way I want it to work, and so it might have to just stew in my head until the set-up becomes plausible enough to start work on it.
Let us know how you're going, whether you've finished anything, need some help brainstorming, or picked up a few more bunnies you definitely don't need (this is me, hi!). Even if you've only written 800 words all week like I have, it's better than nothing. Celebrate the successes, no matter how small they may seem.
This week's optional discussion topic is about world-building: is it the thing you love most about writing, or would you rather just get the story down, and worry about the details later? How do you go about it, and how do you juggle several different worlds at once, and keep everything straight in your head? Do you have any favourite world-building resources you'd like to share with us?
