Although I got a reasonable number of words (not as many as I needed but not too far distant) what I didn't get was any real progress on the things I needed to get written. I've signed up for the wip_bigbang on LJ in the hope of adding yet another impetus to finishing one particularly huge crossover story that is probably 2/3 written at least, but that I just don't seem to be able to figure out the ending.

I'm hoping for some sort of progress in the coming weeks on anything that actually needs to be done!

Is that crack_the_wip or another comm? I saw crack_the_wip the other day and it looks interesting.

As far as the unknown ending, where does the story need to go?

wipbigbang This is the one I've signed up for.

I think that might be part of the problem in that I can't figure out anything that would pass for a satisfactory resolution - I probably need to sit down and bash it around for a bit to try to figure out what to do for each group within the story. There are two groups within it, that need to work together for the villain of the piece to get his comeuppance but once they've done that I've got to figure out what to do with them afterwards. One group are pretty much putting paid to their position by their actions, even though it's the right thing for them to do.

I think maybe if you can just decide where they should be at the very end, you can work backwards to get them there? Even if it's a sort of 'and they rode off into the sunset' sort of thing?
