Just a reminder - this is your community, too. Feel free to use it to ask for advice, vent, commiserate, celebrate, etc.

This is a weekly check-in! You do not have to check in, of course, but if you would like to comment on the last week, feel free!

If you have a deadline coming up, you can do it! If you need a deadline, feel free to ask!

This is the second-to-last check-in! ZOMG!
jordannamorgan: Hiccup and Toothless, "How to Train Your Dragon". (Dragon Rider)

Wrote and posted a "How to Train Your Dragon" one-shot in the space of about three days. Also continued to nudge along my current chaptered WIP of choice.

Now contemplating the start of a long-considered crossover one-shot that a friend wants to see (and that would fill a [community profile] trope_bingo prompt). I'm even tempted to start a certain Epic Sequel Of Massive Massiveness that's been in planning for three years, but I really should finish at least one of my two larger WIPs that are on their climactic scenes.

Last week I wrote nearly half again my word-count goal at [community profile] verbosity. Goal for this week is 4,000 words... of which I've written only 300+ so far. Which means I need to get cracking.

(Mainly I just need to give myself a solid chunk of writing time that will let me get into the flow of the story properly. Instead of, you know, getting distracted by other things until I only have the time and brain-energy for a few hundred words.)

Although I got a reasonable number of words (not as many as I needed but not too far distant) what I didn't get was any real progress on the things I needed to get written. I've signed up for the wip_bigbang on LJ in the hope of adding yet another impetus to finishing one particularly huge crossover story that is probably 2/3 written at least, but that I just don't seem to be able to figure out the ending.

I'm hoping for some sort of progress in the coming weeks on anything that actually needs to be done!
