So, that list you made last week? Go ahead and grab it/load it/bring it up in another window.
If it's making you want to run screaming in terror to live in an abandoned missile silo with nary a typewriter in sight, I completely understand. If it's actually not that bad, well-organized and manageable, well, that's fine too. I am, as always, a little envious of anyone falling into the latter category.
However... don't run screaming. Because it's not a scary list of things you have to do.
It's an amazing list of awesome stories you are going to write/videos you are going to make/crafts you are going to craft/etc.
Seriously, look at all the cool stuff you have planned!
If you have a list so astounding and cool that you have no idea where to start (or perhaps you want to work on all the things), take a couple of minutes and look it over.
Some of you have mentioned exchanges/fests/things-with-deadlines. While there may be something far more sparkly attempting to get your attention, stick with your deadline-shiny! I know it's hard, but I also know you can do it!
If you don't have any deadlines and have time to work on something, work on the first thing that jumps out at you. While you work on it, the rest of the list doesn't exist. You're not neglecting all those other things; they are perfectly content to wait.
This is also a weekly check-in! You do not have to check in, of course, but if you would like to comment on the last week, feel free! If you want to introduce yourself and weren't sure you wanted to do it in an individual post, feel free to use the comments. If you have any other questions or, well, anything, feel free to use the comments as well. ^_^
If you have a deadline coming up, you can do it! If you need a deadline, feel free to ask!

Date: 2017-02-15 09:45 pm (UTC)I think the community is half-founded on that. (And I can't say anything about editing old stuff- I think it's fun to go back, see how I've grown and changed as a writer, and do some tweaking to make a story betterand take out the epithets I used to love)no subject

Date: 2017-02-15 09:49 pm (UTC)I think that's awesome and super-important. (Basically, if it's something you do for fun/entertainment/relaxation/etc. but you're not enjoying it... it's something you shouldn't be doing.) \o/
Struggling
Date: 2017-02-10 04:34 am (UTC)I needed to write the full 1500 words today to make progress on the story, since the first part was supposed to start posting tomorrow.
Endlessly frustrating!

Date: 2017-02-10 01:10 pm (UTC)I worked a little on one of my in-progress earlier this week, and remembered why I let it sit to begin with - it's going to take some severe reworkings in order to make it actually decent. SIIIIGH. (But at least I know how to end it! That's usually one of the hardest parts for me.)

Date: 2017-02-12 10:06 am (UTC)I'd suggest making some thorough notes on what needs to be reworked, but also remember you can always make more than one editing pass. Don't stress~ (That's definitely a bonus! Endings can be rough.)

Date: 2017-02-15 02:03 am (UTC)I've knocked off one little podfic and completed the draft/compiled list of edits for the longer in-progress one. And now, of course, I'm making another little short one that was not on my original list, instead of anything that was on the list. (But it's to count toward the deadline-soon challenge, at least.)
