I'm personally dealing with some sort of weird executive dysfunction where I want to do the things, have all the notes and plans made, and just... don't. I'm not quite sure what's brought it on, but I've had a very frustrating week because of it. Hopefully I can get back on task for the weekend.

Other than that, I did grab the prompt table for 100fandoms which I'll pick away at eventually. According to AO3, I've written for more than 100 fandoms in the past and that's without everything archived, so it's certainly possible.

Laptop died abruptly on the 8th

So, my writing count for the ninth through the 22nd is 64k and change, BUT it's all new stuff, and I've got MOUNTAINS of unfinished stuff locked on that hard drive. I'm hoping I can recover and put the drive in an enclosure.

I've been more active lately in writethisfanfic and am finding it a fun and helpful community.

Even if my more recent stories are receiving less attention than ever before, I'm really very happy with them. This last year has seen me writing in a number of new fandoms, renewing my interest in others, and reviving and finishing a number of long-dormant stories, the oldest having been untouched for over nineteen years. Here's hoping Dreamwidth continues to flourish in the coming year, and may you all never want for words.

I just cannot make myself sit down and make words right now, even of Dreamwidth posts (even simple ones like the weekly game play post!) so I don't even know. It's probably winter. bollocks to winter.

But come this weekend as life calms down, I am making some damn words.

I'm going to give it a try - thanks for the link! It looks sort of similar to this one, and I really enjoyed just having somewhere to check in and talk about my progress (or lack thereof) on writing projects.

And congrats on all the progress! 19 years, wow! That gives me hope for my 11-year-old X-Men WIP… (and that one I at least touched around six or seven years ago)

I've started on a sequel to my old fic of Doom, and I started realizing that the bunnies I've had for this don't quite work for the characters as they developed. So. I think I will instead turn those bunnies into a series of fics completely unrelated to the fic of Doom. I think I can use them to their full potential that way, otherwise I'd have to trim them and ugh. So that's kind of cool. I feel a little excited about that. :)

I've organized fic files on my computer, and I found a lot of fics that I haven't yet archived on AO3, so I'll probably have to do that too. It would be good to know that I have things I am pleased with all in one place.

And once again, thank you so much for the sense of community and the laid-back teachings and advice of this place. It's been fun and rewarding! :D

Yay for figuring out what was/wasn't working with that project. That's great! I love when things like that happen.

Also yay for archiving. I'm still working on that and I really look forward to the day when I've got everything in one place, so I really get that. ^_^

I've enjoyed this community so much. I truly wish the best for everyone. We've definitely all made the journey together.

I seem to be having that to I get to the start and can't start! Or I can't get back into continuing with on going projects. I'm hoping I will have some free time at the weekend to devote to getting back to things.

I've been mostly dealing with fandom stocking comments this week! But I did finish my set of chiblis off and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Turned out quite well.

Remembered a WIP I forgot about and have managed to avoid typing it;p I hope to work on it over the weekend.

I've been having the same damn problem! I haven't written much of anything on any of my WIPs in a couple weeks, and it's frustrating me so much! A lot of it has been mental exhaustion after work, but usually I'm better at pushing through.

Hooray for finding a way to use the bits that may not fit with the project as a whole! Sometimes those discoveries and decisions are the hardest to make, so I'm glad you've found a way to use them that will improve the whole and also excites you!
