I try not to stress, but when it comes to writing, I have a fear of not finishing. I don't want to be that person who starts things and never finishes them... and yet, here I am, with one multichaptered story I began 10 years ago under a second author name, switching between squeeing over new ideas, going for months without activity, and kicking myself for not being done by now. And let's not forget the new multichaptered story I started last year that I'm 3/4 through, or the one fic idea that's been stewing in my brain for 20 years, or the five other one shots in progress (and have been these last several years).
SETTLE ON SOMETHING, BRAIN, FFS. SERIOUSLY.
I've just gotten through a pretty damn emotionally draining portion of the NMCF (new multichaptered fic... ha!), and I am just telling brain right now... you'd better not use this as an excuse to stop, people are invested, you are invested, gdi, cut it out, keep going, you know the ending, you know how to get there, so for once just let it happen and don't overthink it.
