an introduction!

 Hi! I'm Squid (intersquid on here, regentzilla just about everywhere else)! I've been trying to get back into long-form blogging and away from tumblr, and I stumbled over this group in my excited scramble to find fic communities to join. I didn't realize how much I missed them until I started participating again.

I write a lot of things that lean towards the short side, and when I do something longer it tends to be an uphill struggle whether it's original or fanfiction. I have one fic in particular, Secret Love Story, that's been hanging around for years, and the teeny tiny quiet nature of the fandom has made it hard to stay motivated. One of my bigger goals is to just get it finished and out of my brain. Most of my output as of late has been smaller fics written for areyougame, which is the low-pressure multifandom fic community of my dreams, and little bits and pieces of unprompted fics that are starting to pile up. 

I jump fandoms a lot, but I tend to stick to games and anime with a little bit of J-music/RPF on the side. Lately I've been thinking about Metal Gear Solid a lot, which is one of those forever fandoms I don't think I'll ever escape.

It's nice to meet everyone, and I'm looking forward to participating! Here's to getting stuff done!
